General Subscription Information
Also, some important extra
subscription information you may wish to keep on hand:
There are no agency discounts.
ONLINE ACCESS:
Online access began with the January/2001 issue
and is a complement to the paid printed subscription. Instructions for
access and passwords are found in each issue and on our webpage.
Institutional subscriptions include basic online access for up to
4 concurrent users and multi-user access for IP range access at one site. Rates for multi-site access available on
request. Please supply the contact person and their email address and
the applicable IP addresses (or preferred password) when registering
for online access. Should you need your subscription number, please
contact us by phone/fax/email.
SUBSCRIPTION CYCLE:
Subscriptions are based on the calendar year (ie:
January to December) and issues are published monthly. Should you order late
in the year, the earlier issues are shipped as Back Issues and you
then receive the remaining new issues as they are published monthly.
Renewing subscribers please note: when you renew after January
1st, you have already been sent the January issue as a grace
issue to help ease in the renewal rush; this is shipped to you at
the beginning of January. Therefore, when claiming,
the following applies: Should you renew late in the year, the
earlier issues, from February to the date of renewal, are shipped as
Back Issues and then you receive the remaining issues as they
are published monthly.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Payment is preferred with the order, but we do
invoice. Accepted methods of payment: Only 2 Credit Cards: VISA &
MasterCard; also: International Money Orders, bank drafts and US
cheques drawn on US banks. When paying by credit card: please supply
the card number, the card’s expiry date (mm/yy) and the cardholder’s
name. Cheques are to be made payable to:
(The) Journal of Rheumatology (Please do not use/apply glue).
CLAIMS ON MISSING
ISSUES:
Please note the following time limits for claiming
missing issues:
For the US and Canada your claim
must be received within two months from the date of publication - which
is the beginning/first day of each month. For overseas your
claim must be received within four months from the date of
publication. For example: before March 1st and May 1st
respectively for the January issue. We do ask that sufficient and
reasonable time be allowed for the postal service to deliver the issues
before making the claim(s).
Renewing Subscribers please note: the
January issue is sent to all previous year subscribers as a grace
issue to help ease in the renewal rush and is still shipped out the
beginning of January - therefore, when claiming, the above
example applies. Should you renew late in the year, the earlier
issues, from February to the date of renewal, are shipped as Back
Issues and then you receive the remaining issues as they
are published monthly.
SINGLE COPIES / BACK
ISSUES:
Copies of missing issues may be purchased for
$25.00 USD each while the issues are in stock. Back Issues: 4
years, including current year, are available while in stock.
PDF ARTICLES:
Beginning with 2001, Volume 28, PDF's of
articles are available for purchase from our website.
LATE RENEWAL CHARGES:
Late Renewals (ie: received after May 31st)
are charged an additional $5.00 per back issue (eg: renewal
received on the 14th of August - Late Renewal Fee would be an
extra $35.00 US).
SHIPPING/AIRMAIL:
Normal shipping is included in the price of your
subscription. AirMail shipping is available for an additional
charge. There are no extra charges for shipping back issue(s)
when ordering new subscriptions; however, please note that back issues
are shipped at the end of each month and we ask that you please allow 6 to 8 weeks from date of mailing for delivery to North America and 6 to 12 weeks for overseas.
Should you wish a speedier delivery, it would be at your expense (ie:
you provide the FedEx? / Purolator? account number and the shipping is
applied to your account directly.)
