Information We Request From You

We collect limited amounts of personal information, mainly the contact information necessary to provide services to subscribers. We and other service providers use this limited personal information to establish and maintain responsible commercial relations with individuals, to understand their needs, and to provide ongoing services, in particular the fulfillment of subscriptions and sale of our publication, and other related services. We also collect personal information, mainly contact information necessary in order to carry out our ongoing activities related to peer review and publication. If you make payments using a credit card, the personal information associated with that credit card is used for the sole purpose of processing that transaction. If you terminate your subscription, your personal information is removed from our mailing list.

We keep your personal information in strict confidence. We do not distribute our subscriber mailing list to third parties for promotional purposes. If the business of
The Journal of Rheumatology was sold or transferred, The Journal would also transfer its mailing list.

By subscribing to The Journal, you agree that we can use your personal information for these purposes.

Principles Governing Our Website

The Journal of Rheumatology maintains its Web site in conjunction with Britannia Printers and other service providers and together we offer online services according to the principles listed below.

We do not release individual information about your use of our site, including your E-mail address, to any third party, except as required by law. We do not sell or rent your e-mail address to any third party.

We will ask your permission before we send you information about content or services available through our site. Whenever we send you information we will include directions on how you can unsubscribe from any future notices.

We may report activity about our website to third parties, and this may include advertisers, but we will only use aggregate information about the types of visitors to our site in such reporting.

We use industry-standard data-encryption technology when we transfer and receive credit card information at our site. We maintain appropriate security measures in our physical facilities to protect against loss, misuse, or alteration of information we have collected from you at our site.

About the use of cookies. Cookies are bits of information that are stored on your computer that help identify you when you visit the website.
